As summer was coming to a close and most kids were soaking up their last few days of bike rides, playing with friends and time at the pool, three local girls were spending their time raising money for Friend Community Healthcare System.

On Wednesday, August 8th, Sophia Weber (daughter of Joel Weber & Amy Weber), Reese and Avery Tuttle (daughters of Galen & Jamie Tuttle) set up a lemonade stand in Sophia’s front yard, selling lemonade by the cup. After spending the day at their stand, they brought a baggie full of coins totaling nearly $25 to the hospital.

When asked why they chose to donate to the hospital, the three girls responded saying they wanted to help people and the hospital is the most important part of the community because it helps people.
