Dietary Aide/Cook
Provide dietary aide, assist with meal prep, cleaning, washing dishes and serving meals.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for a wide variety of meal service responsibilities, including assisting in the preparation of meals, reviewing healthcare provider diets, explaining healthcare provider diets to patients, serving meals and washing dishes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service/customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience working with the elderly preferred

- Ability to calculate figures, add, subtract, multiply, and divide

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to patients, families, employees, health care providers, etc…
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships
- Ability to work with skill in identifying problems; making frequent decisions regarding method of performance

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares meals by following approved menus.
- Assists with tray assembly ensuring a smooth work flow from food preparation to delivery as well as assists the cook as requested.
- Assists in stocking and maintaining supplies for the kitchen and dining room.
- Demonstrates appropriate use, sanitation and care of equipment to provide a safe and sanitary work environment using required guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
